In its’ second year, Living Exposure, a charity photography
auction and draw established to raise funds for ‘Help the
Hospices’, has again excelled and raised a staggering £65,000.
The charity event not only ensures that all the proceeds go to
‘Help the Hospices’, it also recognises true ‘photographic
excellence’ from within the industry.
The event sponsored by photographic specialist underwriter
Towergate Camerasure, was delighted with the outcome and Paul Dyer,
non executive director of Towergate Partnership, said “We are
extremely grateful to all those photographers who demonstrated
their kindness in support of a good cause. We received an
amazing response to the images contributed and the event was a true
celebration of the best in British photography. Without our
close connections to the UK photographic industry, we wouldn’t have
been able to raise such a handsome sum for a worthwhile
cause.”
The event, held at Bonhams, Bond Street, London, on 27th July
2006, featured an auction and draw of more than 200 photographs,
all donated by leading UK photographers. The images also
included a separate collection of ‘exceptional’ works donated by
high profile photographers from within the industry, to view the

Maxine Blunden, corporate fundraising manager for Help the
Hospices was keen to pay tribute to the event: “We are truly
grateful to Towergate Camerasure for all their efforts in staging
Living Exposure for the second year, and to all the photographers
who donated images. The funds raised will go a long way to
supporting the charities initiatives.”
